This morning, let’s look into this message of hope and believe me you can’t miss it. This life is not always easy, but we can bear all things, and endure all things through a strength and grace that is not our own but of almighty God. Hebrews 11.1 says, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” You can see, faith and hope are complementary. Faith is just in the reality of the past, and hope is looking to the reality of the future.
Maybe you are in misery, and there is no prospect of getting better. It just is a difficult way to live your life, maybe someone have said that to you. There is no hope, or you have tried and said to yourself all Hope is lost?. Yes in the world many people today are helpless, some are in despair and unfortunately no sign of light at the end of the tunnel. What are you contemplating or facing right now? Are you sick? Are you in a financial mess (indebtedness), like trying to pay school fees, or do you have broken relationship or marriage ?(living empty)? Loss of a loved one? When you think about all this and there is no hope at all, of a truth, there is nothing quite as devastating as a hopeless life, It’s like a living hell, but do not be afraid.
I am very aware you have heard plenty of sermons about love, giving, faith, and repentance. Right now, I am bringing a message of hope. The question is, where do you need God to work in your life? What areas do you feel have grown cold or stale in the waiting? Just say lord am sorry, forgive me of sins with a repentance heart, now you can trust that God cares more than you know, He is going to work more than you can see right now, and when you look back over your life, you will see the surprising goodness of God at every turn.
One secret of hope is not to allow any circumstances to cause you to doubt that God cares, fights for you, and will come through for you in whatever ways He knows is best. Brethren, you must be patient and wait. You are in God’s waiting room, you are waiting for God’s help to follow His directions and waiting on God’s promises. Waiting for God’s mercy and grace in the situations and needs of your life. In these waiting seasons, we can always have hope that God’s goodness is very real and present. You can wait with “eager expectation” that something very good is coming your way, both in this life, and especially in eternity with God. Amen
My final word:
Corinthians 1:7:
And our hope for you [our joyful and confident expectation of good for you] is ever unwavering (assured and unshaken); for we know that just as you share and are partners in [our] sufferings and calamities, you also share and are partners in [our] comfort (consolation and encouragement).
Thank you for the encouraging words.
