Your Past is Over

This is a song I always listen to, I won’t go back, by William McDowell…
My first Bible Reference is Revelation 12:13-16. This is very important, looking past the dangerous symbolism on these passages, take note that the devil tries to hunt down the woman, but through God she was saved with awesome miracles when the wings and the ground opening up. That same grace still exists today for believers today, surely the devil will come with his tricks, but if we trust in our Lord Jesus, God will deliver us from all serpent’s fangs.

Now, reading this, it’s time to stop relying on your own strength, Jesus is saying in John 14:1-2: “Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me (2) In my Father’s house are many rooms”. Do not allow your current situations to block your closeness with God. God is always with you day and night, and God knows the end from the beginning!

However, when we as believers begin to overthink the past, our thinking becomes more circular and counterproductive. Expectations could be stuck, emotions is like a compass, and it acts more like a weapon that we use against ourselves. It can become extremely intense and toxic.

Human beings’ ability to remember the past is important, this shows that your past lifestyles can bring up intense emotions like guilt and regret, which may likely push up emotions, and believe it, emotions act like a compass. My question this morning is, why worry too much? When you can surrender your troubles to God and keep thinking positively, because the only place where your dream becomes impossible is in your own thinking.

Final Word:
Bible reference Psalm 126 vs 6
Men says, show me and I will trust you, but God says, trust me and I will show you.

If you can trust God, God will trust you. When you invest in Him, He too will also do the same. God can only invest in who He can trust, do not go back to the old ways, change has come.
