Selfishness is putting our own desires and wants above the needs of others. In this life, there will always be a selfish desire that is trying to cause us, or make us become the master of our lives. But whatever becomes a master of our life may consume our entire being. So, you are likely to become a slave to whatever we master, read Romans 6:16. God needs to be the only Master in our lives because He loves and cares also and wants the best for us.
Ephesians 6:19-20: and for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak. So, let me talk to you, as you expand and grow in financial stewardship and move along our wealth building journey, it’s vital to guard against the temptation of loving money.
God has given us life, light and love, His desire is you maintain and properly use His priesthood so we can transmit that light, life, and love to the world. Moreover, the devil, prince of darkness, wants to hold backlight, life and love as much as he can. Since there is nothing devil can do about the power of the priesthood, he concentrates his energy on trying to limit our individual power in the priesthood by attempting to dirty our hands, hearts, and minds through anger band selfishness.
We are priests in Christ Jesus.1 Peter 2:9, you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, are you seeing your blessing as your own efforts or God’s own possession? . This massage is for everyone not really focusing on only anointed men, so, do not trade your priesthood. Those in authority should always watch their decisions because you all give account.
A wicked man taketh a gift out of the bosom to pervert the ways of judgment, Proverbs 17: 23. This kind of gift intended to corrupt a person is unlawful, but there is nothing wrong in a gift that is an honest expression of charity which is void of a sinful motive. Perhaps, you can’t truly serve God and be enslaved to money, Luke 16:13-15, No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other.
My final word:
Philippians 2:3, Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.
The Bible tells us that God is a jealous God (Exodus 34:14; Deuteronomy 4:14; Nahum 1:7). The Lord tells us that He will not allow anybody or anything else to receive the praise due to His Name, “I am the Lord; that is my name! I will not yield my glory to another or my praise to idols” Isaiah 42:8.
